Really? Because I haven’t updated it in at LEAST six months. More like nine. I probably won’t, either. Maybe the odd photo of a person wearing one of my cast-off tee shirts, but that’s it. No more voting.
So, that said, I suggest you follow The Things We Have (thethingswehave.tumblr.com). It’s still me in front of a camera, but I’m holding up things I have sitting around my house. Gawaaaaan! Give it a shot!
Why, who is this handsome recipient of this Tee Shirt Project vote-down from day 144? None other than Tumblr majordomo Topher Chris! I’m glad this hilariously offensive shirt found a new home! More new homes to come.
Done. No more shirts. I may post some odds and ends, but there will be no more voting. I don’t anticipate finding any more shirts, and even if I do, I will hide them.
Jettisoning as many shirts as I have has made me a lot less sentimental about keeping clothing.
That said, I’ve started a new blog with a similar narcissistic theme. The Things We Have is, well, the things we have. In my house. I won’t feel obligated to post every day. Banal things. Weird things. Functional redundancies. I will take breaks, and there won’t be an voting component. I will periodically ask if anyone wants the thing on display, and you have a good chance of getting it. Anyway. Thank you very much for voting.
Tee Shirt Project day 160. Don’t worry, there is Stuff You Should Know. Keep or toss?
And the polls are closed! With a final tally of 40 to 23, this shirt is a keep! Thanks for voting, and I hope you never have to vote on another shirt again.
Tee Shirt Project day 159 The Vanderbilt Hustler. Keep or toss?
And the polls are closed! With a final tally of 17 to 37, this shirt is a toss! Thanks for voting, and make sure to check out today’s shirt.
Tee Shirt Project day 158. Stuff You Should Know. Keep or toss?
And the polls are closed. With a final tally of 36 to 17, this shirt is a keep! Thanks for voting, and please make sure to check out today’s shirt.
Tee Shirt Project day 157. Greenish Sponge Bob Square Pants. Keep or toss?
And the polls are closed. With a final tally of 26 to 30, this shirt is a toss. Thanks for voting, and please make sure to check out today’s shirt.
I should have three more shirts. If I can’t find them, I’m going to take a rest for 2010, at which point after which I will start a new blog, Stuff In My House. I will post most days, but unlike the Tee Shirt Project, I will miss days and take time off for vacations.
There will not be a voting component on this in this blog. However, if I want to get rid of it the item, I will pose the question “Who wants this?” at which case, Then, I’ll wait for a day, see who requests it, then and draw a name at random and give it to that person to determine the recipient.
Obviously, these will not be terribly valuable things, but you never know what will show up. I’ll preview it here before I move over entirely to the new blog.
Thanks for your attention and support. You’re all entirely kissable.
