I’m not posting a new shirt today. Despite that it doesn’t take a ton of time, it adds up over 90+ days, and I need a breather. You’ll have to take my word that I’m wearing a plain black pocket tee. It’s a little on the large side, but it looks great.
It’s time for a new feature of The Tee Shirt Project. Know Your Voter. Every few days, we’ll post a different Q&A with a voter, either from Tumblr or from Facebook. If you are interested in being featured in Know Your Voter, contact me at joegarden atsign yahoo dot com.
Today’s voter is Susan B. of my hometown, Richland Center, WI.
Q-How do you know renown tee-shirt hoarder Joe Garden?
A-I don’t remember exactly what grade we were in when I met Joe, but we graduated High School together. I remember lots of antics in the French class that we shared…oh, the stories. Not than anyone who knows Joe now would be surprised by them, I guess.
Q-What draws you to vote on these tee-shirts?
A-I voted Joe to be on Prom Court, and I just feel compelled to keep voting in his presence. (Editor’s Note: I campaigned, along with Jeff Perry and Chris Pauls, for junior prom court. We were scrappy outside longshots, but we made it. We squandered the opportunity by wearing white tuxedos).
Q-What do you like in a tee-shirt, fit or graphic?
A-I like the graphics on t-shirts; I’m less concerned with fit. I will qualify that by saying there are far too many people in the world wearing shirts that are too small for them though. People need to remember: “Just because you can get the clothes on your body doesn’t mean they actually fit you”
Q-Have you had a vested interest in any tee-shirts thus far? Namely, have you been personally involved with any of the tee-shirts worn?
A-No, I can’t say that I have been personally involved in any of the t-shirts to be voted on. Although, I did take the picture of you wearing the long lost Die Kruezen shirt that you wish to have back, so I felt proud when you posted that one. :-) (Editor’s Note: This feature appears on Facebook)
Q-Do you have a favorite tee-shirt so far?
A-I really like the “Your favorite band sucks” t-shirt. People use stupid benchmarks like bands as a tool to judge others by and actually feel superior if they think they have better taste in music. That shirt is just a big middle finger to those people, IMO.
Q-Did you own a tee-shirt that you miss now?
A-How about one I never owned? I always wanted one of those awesome Hypercolor shirts from the 80’s. I don’t even know if they still make them, but I still think it’s a neat concept. (Yeah, I’m easily amused…why do you think I like you so much?!)
Q-What is the story with the shirt you’re wearing? (Escaped Mom! Don’t tell anyone you saw me!

A-The story is that I have 7 kids. I don’t get out much. The end.
